ASL Intro

American Sign Language is the third most common language in the United States this six weeks introduction course will explain the basics of ASL structure, finger, spelling, and fun every day conversational signs.

Computer Skills

We will cover the basics of using a computer for work and play. From text and editing programs to the fundamentals of spreadsheets and file organization. Each week we will focus on a new computer skill so that we can build up the students' knowledge. We will be using free programs, mostly online in Google Drive.

Geography Around the World

Students will explore continents, geographical formations, and languages using active learning — hearing music, exploring dress, tasting native food, creating native art or crafts, and more! Hand in hand with understanding the culture is remembering the geographic locations of land, rivers, and mountains that changed history.

Gardening

This class for kids 10 & Up emphasizes plants that thrive in warm weather and the crucial care required for your garden throughout the summer months. We will explore various types of gardens, covering topics such as: Planting  Garden maintenance  Harvesting  Garden preparation

Middle School Math Brush Up

This math class focuses on working on fundamental skills needed to confidently move into pre-algebra problem-solving. We will review concepts with discuss and games for concepts such as PEMDAS(order of operations), fractions, adding and subtracting fractions, multiplying and dividing fractions and learning to calculate percent off of sale items.

Engineering A (Ages 10-12)

This 6-week Engineering A class explores the make up of bridges, skyscrapers, and simple machines.  We discuss the Scientific Method and Newton’s laws while using them to explore how things move.

Wednesdays Only Classes

Intro to Homesteading: Farm Animals (Ages 5-10)

This class will explore the basics of caring for chickens, ducks, goats, donkeys, and horses, both lecture and hands-on, rain or shine  

Materials:  Mucking Boots required- Waterproof, old and able to get dirty- Rain boots work great. Size bigger for easy removal and thick socks if winter.

Engineering B (Ages 12-16)

We will discuss several laws related to science that are important in the world of physical science and physics.

Materials Needed: Notebook, Folder, and email for video and picture directions required.
