  • Sourdough 101

    June 9

    Welcome to the world of sourdough! This class aims to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of sourdough baking, from the basics of creating your starter to the final baking process. Whether you're a seasoned baker or a complete beginner, you'll find valuable insights here. In this class, you will have guided instructions and live demonstrations. Each person in the class will get hands-on with the dough and learn stretch folds, coil foils, and how to add inclusions to your bread. Parents are also welcome to sign up

  • Clay Play

    JUNE 9

    Ceramics-”CLAY PLAY” is a ceramics class for ages 5-16. We will explore clay making and the process of “scratch and attach”, slab rolling, and cool rolling by making a clayworks that reflects ourselves and the animals we see on the farm.

  • Stop the Bleed

    June 25 OR July 23

    Life-threatening bleeding can happen to people injured by serious accidents or disasters. In this course you’ll gain the ability to act quickly and effectively to save lives as an immediate responder. This course teaches bleeding control skills including proper use of tourniquets and wound packing. Successful completion earns you a Stop The Bleed certificate from an ACS accredited instructor.

  • Storm Spotter Training

    June 11 OR June 18

    Skywarn® Storm Spotter Training Thunderstorms, tornadoes, and lightning cause hundreds of injuries and deaths every year. In this course, you will learn basic thunderstorm development, how to recognize storm structure and power, potentially dangerous weather features, basic severe weather safety, and how to report severe weather threats to the National Weather Service. Taught by an NWS-certified instructor, successful completion makes you a Trained Spotter.

  • Candle Making

    June 16th

    Ages 10 and up. Basics of Candle Making: We'll start with an introduction to the materials and tools used in candle making, including different types of waxes, wicks, and fragrances. Color and Scent Blending: Discover how to mix and match colors and scents to create personalized candles that reflect your unique style. Safety Tips and Best Practices: Gain essential knowledge about candle safety and best practices to ensure your creations are not only beautiful but also safe to burn.

  • Artsy Craftsy

    JUNE 16

    Multimedia Art-”ARTSY CRAFTSY” is a multimedia arts and crafts class for ages 5-16. We will explore making farm life thinking about the Elements of Art & Principles of Design.

  • Lip Balm Making

    June 23

    Ages 10 and up. Lip balm and chapstick making class:  What You Will Learn:  Introduction to Ingredients: Dive into the world of natural lip care by learning about the various ingredients used in lip balm and chapstick creation, such as beeswax, shea butter, and essential oils.  Formulation Techniques: Understand how to balance ingredients for the perfect texture and moisturizing effect, ensuring your lip balm is both effective and delightful to use.  Customizing Your Products: Learn to add unique flavors and colors, allowing you to create a personalized product that suits your taste and style.  Packaging and Presentation: Explore creative ways to package and label your homemade lip care products, making them perfect for gifts or personal use.

  • Wood This Work?

    JUNE 23

    Woodworking-”Wood This Work?” is a woodworking class for ages 5-16. We will build sculptures  in relief and in the round using small hand tools and wood glue. We will also learn to woodburn designs into our woodwork.

  • Flower Pressing

    July 7th  

    Ages 12 and up. What You Will Learn:  Introduction to Flower Pressing: Begin with a brief history and the art of flower pressing, learning about the different techniques and materials required to press flowers effectively.  Selecting and Preparing Flowers: Discover how to choose the best flowers for pressing, along with tips on how to prepare them to retain their color and shape.  Designing Your Tote Bag: Learn to arrange pressed flowers creatively to design a unique and stunning tote bag. You'll explore different layout ideas and how to plan your design effectively.  Application Techniques: Gain hands-on experience in applying pressed flowers to fabric, ensuring a long-lasting and beautiful finish that you can proudly carry Finishing Touches and Care: Understand how to seal and protect your design, as well as tips on how to care for your tote bag to maintain its beauty over time.

  • All that Glitters

    JULY 7

    Jewelry making-ages 10-16. We will make a variety of jewelry using leather, wire, beads, feathers, epoxy resin and nature-made materials. All supplies included.

  • Photography - Capture This

    JULY 14

    A photography class for ages 10-16- We will use various cameras to experiment with lighting, macro, motion, still life and editing features to capture great photos. Students will need their own camera of choice: Polaroid, phone camera, DSLR, Digital camera, Ipad.  All other supplies included. Part 1

  • Matting and Framing

    JULY 21

    An artisan class for ages 10-16 designed to teach students how to mat & frame photography. We will use a variety of hand tools and a miter saw to cut mats and build frames. All supplies included. Part 2

    Come learn some basic American Sign Language signs. Learn to finger spell and try a conversation in ASL.

  • Intro to Spanish

    Ages 10 & up, learn your very first conversation in Spanish, enjoy a little Spanish culture, and play some games from the Spanish ABCs and more.

  • Brain Games

    What better way to learn without even realizing you're learning than to play games? In this class, we will play fun games that teach logic and strategy. We will even make our own copy of a game to take. Students can take all sessions.
